Pewter Cave Deer Pocket Token Charm by Julie Kindt
Pewter Cave Deer Pocket Token Charm. My inspiration for this piece comes from the painted primitive deer found on cave walls. I cast this token from dried cuttlefish bones using unleaded pewter, then ground the edges and drilled a hole for the sueded leather lace. The bone can be carved and cast only once - so each token is an individual creation.
Measures approximately 2" tall by 1 3/4" wide by 1/8" thick (varies) with a 3 1/2" sueded leather lace.
As a resident of Wisconsin I am privileged to be able to see Whitetail Deer roaming our fields and woods. I have always been a humble fan of these majestic creatures and try to emulate their spiritual presence in my art.
